When we think of wedding cakes, we think traditional fondant cakes with countless flowers, potentially with edible embellishments and glitter. You could have a basic cake (which for a wedding would be at least a 3 tier wedding cake) or you could make it more extravagant: You could increase the number of tiers of cake; you could have a variety of flavours; you could have an intricate piping design; and/or you could add the best flowers surrounding or between each tier of cake. There is so much you can do, and needless to say, cakes nowadays seem to be a necessity at weddings. We all are guilty of wanting the best wedding, the best decor and the best cake so when trying to make sure our cake has all of the above we fall into the trap of paying an extortionate amount for something people may not even get to eat and will spend about 2 minutes looking at (10 seconds appreciating).
